27 May Calling All Car Enthusiasts
It’s time to open up the garage door and take that classic car for a spin! Before hitting the road or car show make sure you have the correct license plates on your beauty and make certain it’s properly insured for the season.
If you’re new to the car scene you might enjoy joining one of the many car clubs in the area. Whether you own a vintage car, classic truck, hot rod, muscle car, antique car, or exotic car there’s bound to be a club for you. Clubs provide a great networking resource where you can find recommendations for mechanics or needed parts.
There are also a variety of social events and competitions available to club members. You might want to test your skill track racing your pride and joy or compete on the concourse for the cleanest car around. Many clubs have Rallye events to participate in as well. Most clubs do not have a membership fee but do charge for various events they host. Many times the money collected is donated at the end of the year to a charitable cause.
Many local towns host cruise nights in the summer months where you can show off your vehicle and hangout with other car buffs. Here is a list of local towns and their cruise nights.
