Before your insurance policy renews it’s a good idea to take time to review your insurance needs and see if any changes need to be made to your coverage. The following is a list of questions to get you started.

For Homeowner Insurance

Have you made any significant improvements ($5000 or more) to your home?

Have you installed an alarm or security system in your home?

In the past year, have you purchased a second home or rental property?

Did you start a home business?

Is there any change in your marital status?

Is there a change in the number of occupants in your residence?

Have you bought or sold any valuables such as; jewelry, art, sports equipment, musical instruments, etc.?

Do you use your home for a home share or rental income, like Airbnb?

For Auto Insurance

Are there any new drivers in the house that need to be added?

Does your student qualify for a “good student discount”? (3.0 or higher)

Is your vehicle used for ride sharing such as Lyft or Uber?

Have you moved or retired?

Taking time to review your insurance needs before your annual renewal is an important step to ensure you have the proper coverage while checking to see if you qualify for any discounts.
